Dr. Glenn Skutt
President and Chief Technical Officer
Glenn has over 20 years experience in power electronics, DC-DC converter design, and power converter manufacturing. Earlier in his career, Glenn worked at Digital Equipment Corporation as a power supply designer and magnetic component engineer.
Glenn joined VPT, Inc. in 1996 after receiving his Ph.D. in Power Electronics from Virginia Tech in 1996, and he has served as VPT Inc.’s Vice President of Technology since 2001, responsible for new product development of both hybrid and non-hybrid DC-DC converters.
Dr. Skutt has been Principal Investigator on several government small business innovative research projects. Glenn received his B.S. and a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech, and his M.S. from Duke University, all in electrical engineering. He holds two patents and has published over 20 technical articles in power electronics.
